Rocks in your shoes

"If you don`t repent you feel like there`s a rock in your shoe." Definitely the quote of the week from six year old Edu. I think sometimes we let the little stones in our shoes stay there too long. When we recognize the problema we should remove it from our lives immediately. In the verse that says  "Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire"(matt:18:8) ....I found that one to tell to the doctor while he was examining my foot :)...  Anyway, we have to let go of the Little things that hold us back from complete dedication to the Lord. We "cannot serve God and mammon." Pick a side. In these last days the world is straying further and further from the Lord`s norms. This week, Hermana Rasmussen (yes we are companions!! WHOOOO!) anyway we were trying to figure out how to help one of our investigators who just isn't willing to make a decisión. The investigator Loves to read the Book of Mormon, and feels the need to be baptized...but she doesn't want to wake up early to come to church. It is such a small stumbling block...but it`s keeping her from salvation. As I pondered on her situation I realized that our Heavenly Father may often feel a similar sadness because of our lack of conviction. We say we want to follow Him...but what do we do to BE like Him?  We say we love Him...but how do we treat all of His children who surround us?
We must stand steadfast on His foundation.

Don´t let the little stones in your shoes stop your progress on the pathway to Heaven. Get them out as soon as possible!

And as one old testament prophet said... "choose you this day whom ye will serve... but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24;15)

I know that Jesús Christ has showed us the pathway, and I know if we follow Him and keep the Commandments, we will have greater happiness in this life and joy for all eternity!

Con Amor,
Hermana Kimball
